MARVEL’S WOLVERINE • COMPLETE DOCUMENTED PATCH HISTORY Launch through 1.002.001 • checked October 28, 2026 LIGHT GAMEPLAY SPOILERS: a few mission locations, characters and fixed progression scenarios. This is the complete set of published Insomniac patch notes located as of October 28, 2026, through version 1.002.001. It includes the launch hotfix and all four later documented updates. Broad “bug fixes” entries are kept broad; they do not justify inventing a list of unannounced changes. LAUNCH • 01.001.004 • SEPTEMBER 15 • Fixed English voice playback when the console was set to another language. • Corrected a Jean Grey drop-off problem during a Japan mission. • Fixed the progression block where Logan would not slide under a Telambang prison door. These notes describe fixes made ahead of the global launch. 01.001.005 • ANNOUNCED SEPTEMBER 19 • Addressed common crashes affecting a small percentage of players. • Reduced the intensity/opacity of scent trails and Audio Sense indicators. At this stage, optional Senses controls were still being considered. This update reduced the visuals; it did not yet provide the later set of toggles. 1.001.006 • ANNOUNCED SEPTEMBER 25 • Added separate on/off controls for Whisky Bottle Scent Trails, Material Crate Audio Clues and Nightmare Door Roots. • Fixed crashes identified through reports and crash logs. • Fixed the tree-slide blockage in The One That Got Away. • Corrected misaligned claws in Photo Mode. • Fixed a rare issue where objects became white after long sessions. • Corrected the overlapping casino bathroom sign caused by UV mapping. Story-critical Senses still appeared at this point. 1.002.000 • OCTOBER 1 • Enabled QSSR by default on PS5 for improved image detail and stability. • Addressed interface, Photo Mode, out-of-bounds and visual-polish problems. • Fixed some progression issues and crashes. • Corrected Navigation Assist, Lock-On, High Contrast and Screen Reader accessibility behavior. • Addressed localization problems across supported languages. QSSR is the PS5 upscaling addition. It should not be described as an unchanged transplant of PS5 Pro’s PSSR. PlayStation’s October 1 announcement explicitly says Wolverine was being patched that day. 1.002.001 • OCTOBER 6 • Added control of story-related scent trails through the Hint button, R3 by default. • Addressed further player-reported bugs and crashes. This is the later change to story-trail control, separate from September’s collectible toggles. It does not claim that every painted guide surface or every type of assistance can be removed. A NOTE ABOUT DATES The support articles show their latest “Updated” timestamp, not always the original deployment date. That is why 1.001.005 currently shows September 25, 1.001.006 shows October 1, and 1.002.000 shows October 6 on the support site. The chronology above uses the deployment announcements and contemporaneous reports, rather than treating those later edits as new patches. WHAT THIS DOES NOT CLAIM The official notes do not document an expanded skill tree, new basic combos, an open-world conversion or a combat-system overhaul. This history covers the changes Insomniac actually listed: guidance controls, stability and progression fixes, presentation, accessibility, localization and QSSR. For a cleanup run, check your installed game version and your Senses settings before assuming an older guide’s trails or audio cues will appear automatically.
