Miles' Life Story outfit is a level unlock. Peter's Life Story outfit is tied to EMF experiments. That is an easy mistake to make when both characters have a costume with the same name.
Shadow-Spider is another suit that could be unlocked early through a bonus but is still obtainable through normal progression. And owning a returning suit in the separate Miles Morales game does not automatically satisfy the unlock in Spider-Man 2.
