Shared skills: traversal worth learning
The movement route starts at Slingshot Launch:
Loop De Loop (1) → Corner Tether (1) → Spider-Jump (1) and/or Spider-Dash (1) → Aerial Escapades (2).
• Loop De Loop: keep the swing input held out of a dive to carry into a loop and gain speed. Give yourself enough clearance to complete the movement.
• Corner Tether: hold Circle and steer the left stick toward the building corner while swinging. This is directional steering, not clicking L3. Use it to keep a tight turn from killing your momentum.
• Spider-Jump: L1 + X while airborne gives you upward help. Save it for a route that needs height.
• Spider-Dash: L1 + Triangle gives you forward help while swinging or gliding. It is useful when a crossing needs distance instead.
• Aerial Escapades: movement actions such as tricks, point launches, wind tunnels, dives, and corner tethers help replenish those two aerial abilities.
The practical benefit is choice. You can recover height, cross a gap, turn a corner, and return to your route without constantly landing. Don't burn both movement abilities at the beginning of every glide if you know the next stretch has no convenient buildings.
These are not mandatory first purchases for a player struggling to survive fights. But if the movement is a big part of why you're playing Spider-Man, there is absolutely a reason to invest here rather than treating traversal as something you should leave until last.
