I’ve also been working on the less visible side of Logan Pendragon Forge: keeping track of all these projects without having to open a pile of separate dashboards every time I want to see what’s happening.
The project overview now uses smaller cards. I can see today’s page views and the feedback, contact, and account counts at a glance, then open up the details when I actually need them. The graphs, individual page counts, and traffic referrers are there without taking over the whole screen.
More importantly, the analytics now run through a shared tracker across 15 active labs and products, plus my three main sites. That gives me one system to improve as I go instead of building and maintaining a different setup for every project.
I wanted a better idea of which pages people are using and where traffic is coming from, so I can make more informed decisions about what needs attention. This runs alongside the Google Analytics setup already in place. The graphs use the days we’ve actually collected data for, rather than pretending we have a history that was never recorded.
It isn’t as obvious as adding a new game or tool, but this is part of making the whole collection more manageable as it grows. I want to keep building these projects while also paying attention to how they’re actually being used.
