POST 4 OF 7: JAKE'S THREE MASKS Jake's default cobra mask gives him lethal weapon throws against ordinary enemies. That encourages a useful rhythm: use a weapon, throw it when the next target presents itself, then pick up something else. Keep track of the replacement before throwing away the one you already have. Irvin, the viper, starts him with a nail gun. Its quiet shots and limited ammunition make it a particular opening tool rather than an endless supply of ranged attacks. Don't assume a quiet weapon is automatically the best weapon for every room. Check the line of fire, make the shots count, and have a replacement available when it runs dry. Dallas, the black mamba, uses the Inner Warrior setup: lethal punches and nunchucks, with ordinary weapon pickups unavailable. You are choosing to work around a close-combat restriction. That's a very different commitment from the default Jake mask, where discarded weapons can become ranged kills. For experimenting, the default mask leaves more room for weapon swapping, Irvin gives a specific ranged opening, and Dallas asks you to commit to getting close. Those are meaningful differences, not just three cosmetic snake heads. Sources: https://t.co/r2NcJj7Ie3 https://t.co/pKZJfvVC9P https://t.co/i6AoTVNpGy
