POST 10: BEARD'S SPECIALIST EQUIPMENT Beard deserves his own section because his weapon rules are different. He selects equipment and works with ammunition supplies instead of treating every enemy gun as a replacement. His combat knife remains important when something gets close or the gun isn't the right answer. Heavy machine gun: The Big and Heavy option, unlocked through his progression. It provides substantial ammunition and controlled fire, but it is not unlimited. Spending too much of that reserve early can leave the next part of the level considerably less comfortable. You cannot throw it away as a knockdown trick. Sniper rifle: A slower, precise weapon that also extends the useful view for lining up shots. It rewards checking the lane before committing. The time between shots is the weakness you need to plan around, especially when something gets close. It also cannot be thrown. Flamethrower: A powerful specialist option with shorter reach. Its window restriction is particularly important: it does not work through windows, even broken ones. You have to respect the actual path between you and the enemy, rather than assuming a clear-looking opening makes it a valid attack. Alongside those, Beard can use the M16 and shotgun options already covered. The sensible choice depends on the level and the kind of engagement you can control. A specialist weapon is useful when its strengths match the space, not just because you unlocked it later.
