POST 8: THE AUTOMATICS THAT CAN EMPTY BEFORE YOU NOTICE
Uzi: Fast automatic fire in both games, but less controlled than a rifle. It suits a shorter engagement better than a desperate attempt to spray somebody across the map. Keep an eye on the ammunition instead of assuming the stream of shots will last until the room is clear.
Skorpion: A usable first-game weapon with rapid fire and limited accuracy. It appears as a prop in the sequel, but it is not an ordinary usable Wrong Number campaign gun. That is an easy distinction to miss in a combined list.
MP5: An unlockable weapon for Jacket in the original. The sequel connects it to the dual-gun styles used by Mark and the Son. Those paired guns change the coverage and ammunition decisions. You aren't simply holding one ordinary gun with a cosmetic second gun attached.
FAMAE: A Colombian automatic weapon in Wrong Number. It fires quickly and can burn through its ammunition just as quickly. Despite its appearance, it is not a silenced gun. Planning a quiet attack around that assumption can make the next few seconds considerably worse.
Mendoza: Another Colombian weapon in the sequel, with a more measured firing rhythm and useful control. It also appears among the Son's options in Blood Money. It is worth distinguishing from the FAMAE rather than treating every compact automatic as the same weapon.
A fast firing rate is useful when you have a clear target. It is less useful when you are startled, firing at the wrong angle, and giving every nearby enemy more information about where you are.
