POST 4: THE FIRST GAME'S STRANGER EQUIPMENT Crowbar: A special find in Full House, rather than an ordinary weapon you'll expect in every level. It also has an exploration use involving the sewer entrance. It is worth remembering for more than the swing itself. Frying pan: A kitchen weapon found in particular places. It has its own attack and execution behavior, and it should not be confused with the pot. Hotline Miami takes ordinary objects seriously enough that those distinctions actually matter. Pot: The first game's kitchen pot has water-filled and empty states. The water interaction and the empty vessel are not interchangeable attacks. It is one of the reasons a simple list of weapon names doesn't quite explain everything you can do. Pool cue: This one changes as it breaks, so the intact cue and broken cue are different states to keep track of. Don't assume it will behave like a permanent bat. Anyone working through the weapon-related challenges should pay attention to both forms. Drill: Carl's starting equipment. A normal hit knocks an enemy down rather than simply functioning like a knife kill, and the ground execution takes time. It asks for a different routine: create the opening, make sure you have room to commit, then finish it. Briefcase: An objective item in Metro that can also be used during the encounter. It is not a normal random weapon unlock, and the game restricts when you can put it down. Think of it as part of that sequence, not something to include in an ordinary preferred loadout. Trophy: Another scene-specific first-game weapon, used in Showdown. It belongs in a discussion of the unusual equipment, but not in a recommendation for what to look for on a typical floor.
