13/14 — Children of Morta: Skills & Family Progression 12. WHAT CHANGES IN FAMILY TRIALS Family Trials is not your completed Story skill tree dropped into another dungeon. Its Talent System replaces the campaign tree, and rune modifications are folded into that system. The official update describes 40 talents per character for its original Trials roster. That is a separate catalogue, not a reason to pretend the fifteen Story nodes above are the complete Trials pool. The skills' tactical purposes still matter: space, control, safe damage, resource management. Their availability and upgrades follow the run's rules. Build around what is offered and what the current run lacks; do not wait for a rigid campaign purchase sequence to appear. Ancient Spirits adds Yajouj'Majouj as a Family Trials-only dual-form fighter. The official launch description confirms form-dependent attacks, rotating damaging Spirit Embers in one mode and a damaging magnetic companion in the other. This character has no Story family-trait ladder to append to the table. A complete, exact named talent/upgrade compendium for those forms has not been verified here, so none is fabricated. For a numerical build guide, the platform and version matter. A current PC announcement does not establish that every mobile or console build has identical wording, fixes or online features.
