SCP-152: Book of Endings Object Class: Safe SCP-152 records versions of history in which humanity becomes extinct. Every account follows events through the death of the final human. Its histories generally match known events until certain decisions go differently. Some endings involve anomalies; others involve war or disease. Several blame the Foundation itself. The book adjusts its language to the reader, including familiar expressions, while keeping the meaning intact. Attempts to mark or damage its pages fail. New entries and pages appear, and the binding expands with them. An entry arrives on the date its version of Earth's last human dies. These are accounts of catastrophes that have already finished in those histories, rather than a straightforward forecast of our future. Researchers disagree about its usefulness. One sees hypothetical disasters; another sees lessons about how badly their work can go wrong. Then cameras establish that the book disappears for exactly one second during observed updates. Dr. Jansen proposes that each update is actually a replacement copy. The Foundation keeps it open to the final page in a guarded reading room. Nobody has established where those possible new editions come from. Original entry: https://t.co/j6JLeckcat By MalcolmMacLean. CC BY-SA 3.0: https://t.co/TI86Yhe2FC
