SCP-136 looks like a small handmade doll. The dangerous part begins after someone has watched it for about twenty minutes. The doll changes between ordinary materials such as clay, wood, metal, and cloth. It usually appears female, but not always. Damaging it until it no longer resembles a human does not get rid of it. It vanishes and reappears nearby in a different form. A prolonged viewing brings laughter, then a short silence. The doll disappears, replaced by an incorporeal human-shaped figure roughly two meters tall. Its exaggerated anatomy, oversized irises, and unnaturally wide mouth make it profoundly disturbing. It slowly approaches the viewer while the laughter grows louder. When several people are present, each perceives it as approaching them individually. At roughly five centimeters away, it screams and disappears. Seconds later, the doll returns in another configuration. The effect does not work on non-humans. Every human subject has suffered night terrors afterward, lasting up to six months, and most need help leaving the room. That would already make this Euclid-class object dangerous, but the incident reports undermine the initial assumption that its apparition stays inside containment. Dr. Simon reported seeing it in a hallway two hours after his viewing. Everyone nearby lost consciousness. Simon entered a coma and died three days later. A subsequent test left three Class D subjects comatose. Dr. Meyers repeatedly requests stronger classification or destruction. Those requests are rejected because the doll is useful for interrogation. A later, heavily censored incident affects people within a thousand yards and leaves the test subject missing. The exact trigger is withheld from the reader, so the file does not support filling it in. Instead of ending the program, the Foundation removes Meyers from its administration and reserves SCP-136 for enhanced interrogation. Repeat entry is restricted for personnel other than Class D. The object still sits in a locked transparent case, but the record no longer supports treating that case as the full extent of the danger. Based on SCP-136 by "kabu", SCP Wiki.
