There is also the portal book Ordella uses in Grimm Fairy Tales #93, “Song of the Sword.” It deserves a separate entry rather than treating every magical book as the same object.
Ordella initially appears as a teacher giving Sela a lesson about legendary swords. Her book puts Sela inside those stories, where she encounters the people who wielded them. Sela recognizes the resemblance to her own former book, and later directly calls Ordella's a portal book.
The lesson has a purpose. Sela already carries an extraordinary weapon, but she doesn't understand everything that went into making it. Ordella wants her to understand that history before handing her the rest of its power.
The book gives her access to those experiences. It doesn't establish that its owner can casually rewrite any point in history, and it shouldn't be confused with a complete explanation of every story-book or portal that appears elsewhere in the universe.
