SCP-128 turns loose objects into dangerous projectiles. Containment depends on a spinning wheel, and the explanation involves a hamster. It is an invisible source of kinetic energy affecting nonliving solids within its line of sight. Opaque barriers block it; transparent barriers and darkness don't. Its definition of living is unusual: moving robots are spared, while unpowered robots are susceptible. The system maintains constant momentum regardless of direction, making fewer, lighter objects a dangerous arrangement. During recovery, the team initially treats it as a poltergeist. Sedating the household fails. An agent fatally tranquilizes a hamster, but the activity continues. Researchers later describe the animal as a regulator rather than a conscious controller: its death leaves the phenomenon stuck open. The principal researcher discusses the containment problem with her biologist brother, who suggests a wheel. Current Euclid containment uses cleanroom conditions, protected equipment and a freely spinning wheel. If its speed falls below 4,000 rpm, personnel evacuate and foam deploys. This makes the archived procedures important to read as failed history, not current instructions. Removing objects can worsen the danger instead of simplifying the room. The eventual solution combines a physical explanation with a biological analogy, without establishing that the anomaly is a hamster's ghost. The distinction matters: the useful insight is how to accommodate the phenomenon, not how to give it a familiar supernatural identity.
