12/12

12/12 The final fight in X-Factor #62 takes a lot more than Warren getting another shot at him. Cyclops and Havok combine their attacks to destroy Hodge's mechanical body. Even then, the head keeps fighting. Wolfsbane attacks it, and Rictor brings the Citadel down, burying Hodge underneath it. That's where I'm leaving him at this point in my reading. Defeated and buried, with the damage he's done still affecting the people who survived him. The progression is pretty extensive: X-Factor's PR man, the commander of the Right, a man bargaining with a demon, and then the cyborg helping turn Genosha into a trap for the X-teams. But the earlier part matters just as much as the giant robot body. He was dangerous when he had access to their trust, their resources, and the public conversation about mutants. By the time he becomes a physical monster, the stories have already shown exactly what he's willing to do to people.
