10/12 In Genosha, Hodge has an existing system he can work with. The country already enslaves mutants. He didn't create all of that, and the Genoshan government and the Right shouldn't be treated as if they're the same organization. But the arrangement gives him support, facilities, and access to the people involved in that system. The X-teams are brought into a situation where their friends can be imprisoned, stripped of their powers, and threatened with being made into mutates. His new body fits the scale of that confrontation. He's a human head on an enormous scorpion-like machine, with weapons and a tail that make getting close to him dangerous. The body changes how he fights, while his knowledge of the teams gives him plenty of ways to go after them personally. And his ambitions go further than helping Genosha maintain its system. He wants to use that position against mutantkind more broadly. Genosha gives him a place to try it.
