1/12 Spoilers for the X-Men, X-Factor, and New Mutants stories through the end of the Muir Island Saga. That's where I'm at, so that's where I'm stopping. Cameron Hodge starts out with access to something most of the X-Men's enemies have to fight to get: their trust. Warren already knows him. He gets brought into X-Factor to handle public relations, and he's standing right there while the original team tries to figure out how to help mutants again. That access matters as much as the weapons he eventually gets. He knows the people involved, understands how the organization works, and has a say in how the public sees them. By the time they're openly fighting him, he's already been doing damage for a while. To talk about Hodge properly, you have to talk about the Right too, because the organization gives him people, equipment, and a way to turn his hatred into something much bigger than his own problems with Warren.
