1/14 Spoilers for the X-Men stories I've read through the end of the Muir Island Saga. Nothing beyond that point. The Brood is one of the most dangerous enemies the X-Men have ever faced. They take over their hosts, replace them, and can come out of it with the same powers that made those people dangerous in the first place. Put that inside a team like the X-Men and you've got a pretty serious problem. A few moments stand out to me more than the rest, especially what happened to Wolverine. His healing factor fighting off the Brood from inside his own body is one of the most bad ass feats Wolverine did in early comics. I want to get into that, but the Brood themselves deserve some attention too, because there is a lot more going on with them than just a bunch of alien monsters attacking people.
