18/ Inferno brings all of this into the open. S'ym and N'astirh exploit her connection to Limbo, and the demonic invasion makes her private problems everybody else's emergency. The more she's pushed, the further the Darkchilde transformation goes. Piotr has to face how much has happened to the sister he still wants to protect. Rahne's part in the ending matters too. With Illyana increasingly identifying herself as the demonic ruler, Rahne pushes her to save the little girl caught in that history. There's still somebody worth rescuing there. Illyana ultimately turns her power toward ending the invasion. She uses the Soulsword and her stepping discs to pull the demons back, and the teenage Magik we've been following is gone.
