6/ And Illyana does learn from Belasco. That's part of what makes the whole thing so uncomfortable. She learns the magic of the person hurting her. She becomes capable in the place that trapped her. Meanwhile, the people trying to protect her are being damaged and destroyed around her. By the time the miniseries reaches its ending, she has lost both Cat and Storm. She can't return to being the little girl who first arrived just because she finally finds a way out. The skills she uses to survive came out of those years too. Once she's back with the X-Men, all of that is still there. The end with Storm is especially brutal. Illyana kills the dying Ororo to prevent Belasco from claiming her soul. Afterward, she even reaches her parents' home for a moment, but they don't recognize this older girl as their daughter. They believe their little girl is still with Piotr. She reaches home and still can't get home. Then Belasco has her back in Limbo again. [Magik #3](https://t.co/bluBEI3nXg) · [Magik #4](https://t.co/eV8Y2z5ynk)
