1/ Spoilers through the end of the Muir Island Saga, including the original Inferno. That's where I'm at in my X-Men reading, so that's where this stops. Magik might actually be my favorite X-Men character. She's definitely in my top three. The more of her history I read, the more I wanted to keep going with her. Her origin, the Soulsword, the way she uses it, and the whole struggle between the different parts of her are a huge part of that. Which is also why I was pretty upset when Inferno left her as a little girl again and took the teenage Illyana I'd been following out of the books. I was pretty conflicted about that ending, but I wasn't ready to be done with that version of the character.
