By Inferno, Selene is still involved in the Inner Circle's dealings. In New Mutants #73, the kids see the club talking with N'astirh while the city is in chaos. The discussion includes Selene's Amazonian interests, which immediately makes them worry about Amara.
Afterward, New Mutants #75 brings the students into conflict with Magneto and the club at the ruined school. Selene attacks Cannonball, and Dani turns her own fear against her by making her appear old and weakened. Emma intervenes to break that effect.
The confrontation also ends with a change in leadership. Magneto defeats Shaw, and both Selene and Emma vote Shaw out. Selene's support serves her interests, including freedom to pursue her affairs in the Amazon. It doesn't establish any lasting trust among the people left in charge.
She remains part of a group whose members cooperate while keeping their own plans. The students have good reason to be concerned about what those plans might mean for Amara.
