14/15 Bringing it up to where I am now, the Muir Island Saga puts her under somebody else's control again, this time the Shadow King. She's among the people turned against the others on the island. Her psychic knife ends up being important to breaking his hold, but it isn't a moment where Betsy simply decides to defeat him herself. Forge uses the blade against Polaris, who is serving as the Shadow King's nexus. Disrupting that connection helps bring the fight to its end while Xavier and the others are battling him on the astral side. That's where I'm leaving the history for now, with Muir Island finished. No later explanations, no jumping ahead to whatever happens next. I've read through that ending and the aftermath in X-Factor #70, and I want these posts to stay with me as I read. (Uncanny X-Men #278–280; X-Factor #69–70.)
