SCP-120 is a pink kiddie pool that the Foundation uses as an emergency exit. That sounds pretty convenient until you find out where some of the exits are. A conscious human can step through it, one person at a time, carrying less than 37.8 kilograms, including clothing. Otherwise, you just stand on a smooth surface. The destinations follow a fixed eleven-stop cycle, and the color tells you which one is next. Five stops are Earth-Moon Lagrange points where the file says recovery is impossible. The Foundation sends D-class personnel through anyway to advance the pool to the next destination. People are literally being sacrificed to operate an emergency exit for other people. That isn't something they improvised during a disaster. It's part of the plan. The usable destinations include a ship in the Pacific, remote outposts, and a base on the Moon. Even the mountain destination has a pit for disposing of the people used to advance the sequence. The file treats all this as ordinary logistics. And the thing still looks like a children's toy. Police found it while investigating missing children in California. There is no reason a kid would look at a little pink pool and think stepping inside could leave them somewhere nobody could ever reach. The Foundation knows exactly how dangerous it is. Their solution is to decide whose life is worth using it for. https://t.co/WQyiaPjtrd
