He has already gone through injuries, paralysis, apparent death and the Siege Perilous. Now even the relatively peaceful life he found afterward has been used against him. By the end of this fight, Colossus is back among the people who know him. They're getting another chance to put things together, while Xavier is dealing with his own injuries from the Shadow King. Piotr started by saving his sister on a farm. Since then, he's been asked to protect friends, strangers and entire communities. He keeps answering, but the books have given him plenty of reasons to want a day where the only thing anybody needs from him is a painting.
