Piotr eventually recovers enough to rejoin the team, and then Dallas puts him in the sacrifice against the Adversary with the others. After Roma restores them, the Australian base gives him a place on the new team, but there is still a lot waiting back home. Illyana is changing, he isn't there to help her, and the world believes he's dead. Inferno finally ends with his sister returned to childhood. He gets a version of the little girl he remembers back, but that doesn't make everything she experienced in Limbo a harmless detour. That's a recurring problem for Piotr. He wants to keep his family safe, and he has more physical strength than almost anyone around him, but the disasters involving his family keep happening somewhere that strength can't reach. The Australian team eventually falls apart too. When Psylocke sends the remaining members through the Siege Perilous, Piotr loses even his memory of being Colossus. After years of trying to keep up with everyone else's losses, his own life is taken apart.
