Kitty follows her father to Japan because she discovers he's involved with people she doesn't trust. Then she falls into Ogun's hands, and a family problem becomes something much worse. Ogun takes over her mind and turns her into a ninja. Wolverine knows Ogun because he was his own teacher. Now somebody Logan learned from has taken a kid from his team and tried to make her into an assassin. The frightening part is how much of her has been interfered with. There's skill in there she didn't spend years choosing to learn. There are commands and another man's influence mixed into what she thinks and does. Logan has to help somebody whose ability to make her own decisions has been attacked. Every lesson he gives her after that has to deal with what Ogun has already put there.
