Yukio is comfortable with violence, danger and Logan behaving badly. Being around her gives him somewhere to go after that humiliation, without having to explain himself or act like the man he thinks Mariko deserves. But there are consequences to going along with her. In #2, he helps her get at Katsuyori without understanding whose business he's really helping. Shingen benefits from it. Logan has been useful to the same man who just tore him down. So it would be too easy to describe Yukio as freedom and Mariko as responsibility and leave it there. Yukio has an employer and a job. She's withholding things from him. Whatever she genuinely feels for Logan, he isn't making informed decisions about what he's doing with her. He thinks he's escaping one miserable situation, and somebody is still pointing him where they want him to go.
