Being brought back doesn't make the Beyonder experience disappear. The restored kids are struggling badly, and Magneto lets most of them transfer to Emma Frost's school because he cannot work out how to help them. Dani refuses to go. In #39, she turns her own power on herself and sees what she wants: her friends back together, training, with Magneto still teaching them. She wants the life they had before this happened. Instead, she leaves for home, trying to work out who she is after all of it. That leads into #41 and Pat Roberts, somebody who already has a painful history with her powers. After a car accident, she tries to save him and confronts Death over him. Pat still dies. Her family, her friends, and the people she thinks she can help keep being caught up in this. Dani has gained remarkable abilities, but she isn't getting to decide who lives.
