The first Asgard trip changes her again.
In New Mutants Special Edition #1, Dani helps a winged horse and forms a bond with him. That's Brightwind. That bond brings her into the Valkyries, and now she's dealing with a whole set of responsibilities she never had at Xavier's school.
She can perceive signs of approaching death. That sounds useful until you think about what it means to see somebody marked to die and not necessarily be able to stop it.
New Mutants #37 makes that ability horrible. Dani sees death hanging over her friends before the Beyonder attacks. She is the last one left facing him, calls out what he is doing, and refuses to run. He kills her anyway.
Being able to see the danger coming does not give her the power to stop a being like that.
The first Asgard trip changes her again.
