By #273, Jubilee is around the reunited X-Men instead of just traveling with Logan. That means sharing him with people who have known him a lot longer, watching him get back into fights, and finding out where she fits in a much larger group. Then the Shi'ar stories in #275–277 throw her into another level of trouble altogether. She gets to meet Xavier, but this isn't a quiet introduction at the school. There are Warskrulls impersonating people, including her, and the team has to work out who they're actually dealing with. She hasn't had years of stories yet at this point. What she has had is a pretty rough introduction: surviving alone, hiding in the outback, helping Wolverine escape the Reavers, and finding out that her powers can be dangerous. She's loud and she argues, but she's also already done something for Logan that he badly needed when nobody else was there.
