The famous drop-of-blood example in Uncanny X-Men Annual #11 needs the rest of the scene attached to it. His blood lands on the Crystal of Ultimate Vision. That enormous outside power is involved in bringing him back, and he briefly has godlike power. It isn't just a drop falling on an ordinary floor and growing into another Wolverine. If you leave the crystal out, you end up making a very different claim about what his body can normally do. Then people start using that version to argue that nothing else should ever put him in danger. But the crystal is right there in the story. It's the reason this is such an extraordinary situation. Compare it with Logan trying to recover while Katie helps him escape Deathstrike. You can't reasonably expect the second situation to work like the first when the thing supplying all that extra power isn't there. It's worth keeping that distinction, because otherwise one unusual scene gets used to erase all the other stories where healing takes time and his injuries matter.
