Then there's Spectacular Spider-Man #116 and #119. These are particularly bad days for Sabretooth. In #116, Spider-Man gets involved while Creed is hunting Black Cat. Peter gets slashed, but he webs Creed's face. Creed gets so determined to tear the webbing off that he badly damages his own face doing it. Peter ends up taking him to the hospital. By #119, those injuries still haven't stopped being a problem. Black Cat goes after the wounds during their fight, and when Creed tries to bite her, he gets a concealed mini-crowbar instead. She eventually smashes his face into the pavement until he's unconscious. So he gets hurt in one issue, and those injuries help somebody beat him again a few issues later. He isn't just back to full strength with everything forgotten. That's why I wouldn't reduce this to a list of supposedly weaker people beating him. Felicia takes advantage of the condition he's in and what she has on her. Peter's webbing gets Creed to hurt himself. Danny has better technique. There are actual reasons for the defeats, but there are definitely a lot of defeats.
