5/10

5/10 Shang dies fighting Andre under the Queen's orders. Sela has already lost the chance to rescue him, and the war keeps taking away people who have been part of her life for far longer than this one battle. Malec's attempt to move against Lucinda fails too. Venus betrays him, and the Queen sends Andre against him. Being her husband doesn't spare him once she knows what he's planning. At the same time, the resistance finally has something that works. The weapons from Area 51 can kill Blood Knights. After the beating they took in #100, that is a practical change in what they can do, not just another promise that the next attack will go better. They begin striking back. It doesn't bring Shang home or replace the people they've lost, but the Queen's forces are no longer untouchable. For the first time in this stretch, Sela's side has a way to make some progress instead of only trying to get out alive.
