5/8 The Blood Knights stop that approach cold. The heroes can fight them, but they can't get past them quickly enough to shut down what Lucinda is doing. Gideon grabs one and takes it away with him. Shang immediately sees the chance that gives them. Then more Blood Knights come through, and the opening is gone almost as soon as they get it. It's a brutal turn because somebody does make the move that should help. Gideon removes the immediate threat, and the others are ready to take advantage of it. Then they find out the Queen has more of the same waiting behind it. The group is surrounded while Lucinda finishes her ritual. Sela, Shang, Britney, Baba Yaga and Andre are still there, still trying to fight, but they can't turn that effort into a way to reach her. By the time the spell takes hold, staying on their feet is about all they can do.
