7/8 After all of that, Samantha finds Innocence trapped under the rubble. Innocence has lost her powers and asks Samantha to help her. She still wants them to regroup and find another way to protect the world from what's coming. Samantha refuses. She says she's done being used, then strangles Innocence. There isn't another fight happening between them. Innocence is helpless, and Samantha chooses to kill her. When Sela, Shang and Helsing find her, Samantha leaves. Shang lets her go, believing she'll find them when she's ready. That doesn't give them a reunion now, and it doesn't undo what she has just done. Samantha's words, “I'm not Sela,” fit the scene. She doesn't want to be placed back into that role or compared to that example. But breaking away from Sela has brought her here, with Innocence dead at her feet. The Being's defeat hasn't fixed Samantha's life or brought her back to the people who cared about her.
