ASCENSION

ASCENSION 1/8 Unleashed leaves the Being with a chance to do something he thinks the Maker never could: fix the world. Ascension #1–5 follows him as he tries to do it, with Sela Mathers and Liesel Van Helsing standing in his way. He has his own group of Keepers now. Innocence is with him, along with Samantha Darren, Zagreus and Jacqueline Hyde. Samantha already has a history with Sela and Shang. Zagreus is Zeus's son. Jackie is a young woman carrying the power of the Shadowlands without knowing how to control it. They have very different reasons for being there, even if the Being wants them all working toward the same goal. He isn't introducing himself as someone who wants to ruin everybody's lives. He says he's going to protect people and remove evil from the world. The trouble starts with who gets to decide what evil is, and what happens to anybody who disagrees with him.
