After the fight with Cronus, Sela and Liesel sit down for a drink. Sela explains why she wanted to spare him. Shang taught her not to kill someone who is powerless, though she understands why Liesel pulled the trigger. Then Liesel tells her what happened while she was dead. She remembers fire, screams, and suffering. She thinks she was in Hell. That is not something she can shrug off. Liesel is devout, and she cannot understand why that would be where she went. Sela suggests that what she experienced could have been an effect of the scythe's magic. She tells Liesel she is a good person. Liesel tries to accept the reassurance, but the conversation doesn't give her a definite answer. Hades has taken an interest in her too. He tells Neptune that he has grown fond of Liesel, while Neptune is more interested in finding out how much his brother had to do with the crisis. Hades denies deliberately freeing Cronus. Neptune still wants to know what he was after and what he intended to do with the scythe. Back with the agency, Sela and Liesel are taking some time away. Robyn's freedom comes with conditions. Ciampo gives her the choice between returning to jail and continuing to work for them, staying off the radar and following the terms of her missions. Shang takes Robyn aside for a conversation as that next part of her story begins. Ciampo also speaks to Britney about her transformations. She knows Britney has changed twice while working for the team, and she says she has been trying to keep the agency from exploiting that secret. She promises that she is looking out for her, though Britney is still being discussed as an asset they want ready for another assignment. Then Wisnowski brings Ciampo to a meeting with their superior. Ciampo learns that she has supernatural heritage herself, something she did not know. The superior explains that Highborns and Falsebloods can be unaware of what they are. Her closeness to the Knights is useful to the agency. They trust her, and the people above her intend to keep using that trust. Morgana is there to make sure Ciampo will cooperate. She wipes her memories. Ciampo no longer knows who she is or where she is, and Morgana leaves the agency a blank mind it can fill with new memories, information, and motivations. Wisnowski escorts her away. The handler who had been giving the Knights room to act has become another person the agency can remake for its own purposes. And there is one last meeting. Hades brings Morgana the broken remains of Cronus's weapon. She needs those pieces for her plan, and she promises to bring his daughter back if it works. Hades is willing to take that chance and hands them over. That is where this first Realm Knights story ends. Cronus is dead, Liesel is alive but shaken, Ciampo's memories are gone, and Morgana has the remains of a weapon that can manipulate time. Realm Knights: Age of Darkness is a later one-shot. This ending already has plenty waiting for the Knights when their next call comes.
