3/6 Sinbad kills Doc Carou, but Acacia can bring the dead back too. She has her own attachment to Carou, and she revives him and Sinbad's crew. The crew members aren't themselves anymore. She can order them around, and Sinbad can't reach them as the friends he remembers. Carou comes back with his mind intact. So Acacia knows how to restore more than a moving body. She's keeping that from Sinbad's crew because she needs something from their captain. She can give him back the people he lost, or at least she's offering him enough hope that he has to consider it. She wants him to sail through Ahriman's Teeth. In return, she promises to restore the crew's minds. Threatening Sinbad alone might not have been enough, but offering him a chance to save his people gets him to cooperate. He's lost them on a job he led them into, and now the person controlling them is telling him there's a way to fix it.
