2/6 At first, Sinbad has a job with a clear reward. His crew is racing Captain Jake Crane's crew to deliver Cyclops blood to Santalista. They've got monsters, a rival captain, and a dangerous trip to deal with, but reaching the destination first should mean they've won. Sinbad gets there first. Then his crew is poisoned at the celebration. Doc Carou intends to use the blood they've just delivered to bring them back under his control. They survive the trip and finish the job, only to find out the people waiting to reward them have set them up. The job brought Carou both the victims and the blood he needed. Sinbad has delivered his own crew into the trap while thinking he was leading them to a payday. He survives the poisoning, but his people don't get to walk away with him. Even being the first captain to reach Santalista has helped the person who planned to kill them.
