5/6

5/6 From here, Mercy has to keep Grace with her while she continues looking for the soul Sela sent her to retrieve. Finding each other doesn't get either sister out of danger. They're still inside the Inferno, and Mercy still needs a way to get them out. That brings her to Belia, its ruler. Belia says she's a fallen angel serving her own punishment. She talks about eventually being forgiven, but for now she's the one deciding whether the people Mercy has come for can leave. Mercy can't finish the rescue without dealing with her. Belia allows Mercy and the man she was sent to find to go. She refuses to let Grace leave, citing the Inferno's rule about people who died by suicide. Mercy challenges that judgment. She's fought her way all this distance and finally reached the point where winning another fight won't get her what she needs. Her sister is right there, but Belia won't release her.
