The aftermath stays with Sela and Belinda. There isn't a big celebration waiting for them when they get back.
Sela can't save her. Before Belinda dies, Sela promises to find her son. At the start of their part in this event, Sela doesn't even want to trust her. By the end, she's making sure Belinda knows someone will keep looking for her child.
Grimm Fairy Tales #65 follows with Sela burying Belinda in Myst. Sela's search concerning Erik continues into the next part of the main series too. The Dream Eater has interrupted those searches and changed the people involved, but the ongoing books still have to deal with what's left unresolved.
Wonderland has lost the Queen of Hearts. That leaves an opening for other people to make their moves, and the lack of a ruler becomes part of the setup for Call of Wonderland. Removing someone dangerous hasn't made the realm's future any less uncertain.
The event's epilogue shows the Dream Eater contained and points toward the Warlord of Oz as another threat. I'll leave that there for now. Following it any further would take us into a different story.
Across the prologue and twelve chapters, Baba is chasing revenge, Pan is chasing power, Samantha is trying to protect people, and Sinbad is trying to get his friend back. Sela and Belinda need answers about their families. Pots ends up paying an enormous price to bring everyone home.
That's why I wanted to cover the whole event after covering the Dream Eater itself. There's much more here than what the creature can do. Everyone brings their own reasons for getting involved, and those choices keep affecting them after it's been contained.
