THE DREAM EATER SAGA • 7/10 Grimm Fairy Tales #63 and #64 bring Sela and Belinda into the effort to stop the Dream Eater. They also explain why letting it keep eating everyone's enemies won't work. Belinda needs Sela's help. Given their history, Sela has plenty of reasons to refuse. Their confrontation leads them to Esmeralda, and dealing with the Sea Witch forces them to work together before they've had any chance to settle things between them. The Innocent then explains where the Dream Eater came from. That takes us back to the creation of the realms, the Keepers, and the measures put in place to keep power in balance. The Dream Eater was created to respond when evil became overwhelming. The problem is that its response reaches supernatural beings on both sides. Sela and the others trying to protect Earth are in danger too. They can't just wait for it to finish with the villains and assume it'll leave them alone. They're given a way to contain it. Belinda also learns something she's needed to know for a long time: her child is alive. Orcus took him on the Dark One's orders. The person she's been serving has been manipulating her over her own son. Now she needs to confront him for answers as well as deal with the Dream Eater. Sela has questions about her own family too. That sends them to Inferno, where they have to find someone they hate and, for the moment, keep him alive.
