THE DREAM EATER SAGA • 5/10
Neverland and Salem's Daughter connect through Pan, who is still looking for a way to get back what he lost.
He's stranded on Earth with much less power than he had before. He wants to return to Neverland and get revenge on the people who defeated him. While everyone else has reason to be afraid of the Dream Eater, Pan is wondering whether he can take its power for himself.
The water nymph Angelica sends him to Esmeralda. Pan tries to take control of that encounter, and it goes badly for him. Esmeralda is the Sea Witch. The bargain she offers takes away his youth and sends him into the past to find someone whose power might help him.
That's how he ends up in Anna Williams and Braden Cole's story. They're investigating a town where people are dying from an illness, and Braden gets sick too. The man posing as a doctor is Pan, keeping himself going at the townspeople's expense.
Anna finds out what he's doing and sends him through a portal, right into the Dream Eater's path. But he's already taken enough of her power to have something to offer it. He buys himself another chance instead of being destroyed on the spot.
By the end of these chapters, Pan has gone from a weakened exile to someone making a deal with the creature everyone else is trying to stop. He changes his approach whenever he needs to, but what he wants stays pretty consistent: his power back, his old position back, and a chance to get even.
