7/9

7/9 Escape from Wonderland makes Violet's rescue the center of Calie's return. Johnny is now part of the machinery threatening the next generation of the family, and Calie has to reach her daughter through the same realm that has already taken so much from them. The final stretch also shows why the Ebony Blade matters to Johnny's history. He kills Charles Dodgson and turns the weapon against the Jabberwocky before his conflict with Calie reaches its conclusion. Their fight eventually returns to the Liddle house. Johnny dies there, bringing that part of his story back to the place where the family first fell apart. Calie's escape with Violet closes the trilogy, but it does not make the Hatter's legacy harmless. The distinction matters for everything that follows. Johnny's death and the end of the hat's influence are separate questions. Later stories can return to the damage attached to that identity without every person wearing it becoming the same individual.
