1/9 The Mad Hatter needs a little more room, because there are several different people underneath that name in Zenescope's Wonderland. If you treat every appearance as Johnny Liddle, you lose a lot of the history before him and misunderstand what happens after him. The human history behind the early Hatters takes us from John, revealed as Jack the Ripper, to Drake Liddle, then to Johnny. The later stories also bring Sammy Daniels and Emma Legrasse into that legacy. Emma is the Madder Hatter, which is an important distinction when following the ongoing series. Their stories overlap, but their relationships to Wonderland are different. Some enter it with a history of violence already behind them. Others become vulnerable to something that reaches them outside the realm itself. I'm keeping this to the Wonderland stories I've reached so far. There is already plenty here without jumping ahead, especially once you follow what the hat does to the lives around it.
