11. The wider family is not a checklist Hera matters to the story even when the immediate conflict is between Zeus and Venus. Zeus's intended marriage to her is central to the rejection Venus remembers, and he names Hera's future position as queen. That is a specific relationship the comic establishes, rather than a reason to import every traditional Hera story into this version. The same care applies to Zeus's children. Godstorm #0 reflects on figures including Perseus, Hercules, and Zagreus, tying the king's history to his responsibilities as a father. They belong to the larger family picture, but they do not all occupy the same role in the modern plot. Hercules also has the separate modern interpretation involving Andre Payne. That is a distinct story to unpack on its own, not something to reduce to the assumption that every classical labor or familiar myth happened exactly the same way here. A useful account of this pantheon has to leave room for those differences: gods, their children, their modern identities, and their relationships are connected, but they are not interchangeable.
