3. Zeus and Neptune: mercy has a cost
Neptune does not share Zeus's position on Julian, and the story gives him a reason. He has suffered devastating personal loss at Julian's hands. Zeus is asking his brother to spare the person responsible because that person is Zeus's son.
Neptune allows that chance, but he does not turn it into forgiveness. He makes it clear that if Zagreus becomes a threat again, he will act against him. Zeus understands that boundary.
That exchange is one of the clearest ways Godstorm makes its divine family feel like a family. Zeus sees a son he might still save. Neptune sees the person who destroyed something precious to him. Neither perspective disappears because the other brother has an emotional claim. The king of the gods cannot make the consequences stop mattering, and being related does not oblige Neptune to approve his decision.
