8/18 Werewolves: The Hunger takes a different approach. Roman Asher pursues a werewolf, and the danger spreads through the people infected along the way. A scratch or a bite can transmit the condition in this story, so an encounter can leave consequences even when somebody survives the initial attack. The pursuit moves through different environments rather than staying confined to one isolated patch of woods. That makes the werewolf threat mobile. The hunter is chasing a target, but each new victim means the problem can grow beyond that original target. It's a story where surviving an attack and being safe afterward are two very different things.
