7/18 Olaf and his vampire crew in Hellchild give that world a more immediate, street-level presence. Their history and conflicts operate alongside Angelica's much more personal situation. In Hellchild #3, her encounter with werewolf bikers brings her into contact with Olaf, whose crew already has a grievance against them. That doesn't establish some automatic rule that every vampire everywhere is at war with every werewolf. It establishes a specific conflict between specific groups. Keeping that distinction matters. Grimm has ancient supernatural history, but it also has creatures with their own crews, grudges, alliances, and reasons to turn on one another.
