6/18 Hellchild shows another side of that larger vampire world through Angelica Blackstone. She is Hades's daughter and a half-vampire, half-god hybrid. Her anger, blood hunger, and struggle with what has happened to her don't fit neatly into Samira's idea of vampire royalty. Angelica also shouldn't be used as a checklist for what an ordinary vampire can do. Her divine heritage matters. She sits at the intersection of two parts of Grimm's supernatural world, which is part of what makes her relevant to both a conversation about vampires and a conversation about the gods. The categories overlap without becoming interchangeable.
